Synonymous with excellence? Not since before the Norlin years.............Today fit, finish and quality of metal parts is silly bad(tunamatic bridges especially) while the MSRP's continue to be the highest in the industry. What they build today is in no way similar with the? guitars that made the name.

I know some will disagree with me, but? if someone blindfolded you and played a studio, a standard, and a custom could you pick out which was which everytime? Im sure there are people who can just not very many. Thats why i cant see a custom coating THAT much more.
